Pictures show Capital's streets empty on Hogmanay

It was a very different sort of Hogmanay last night. And perhaps nowhere was that shown more starkly than in the streets of Edinburgh.

Eerie pictures show the Capital's deserted streets that would usually be full of revellers toasting the New Year.

Scot Government 'blocking billions of pounds of investment and jobs'

The Scottish Government has been accused of 'blocking billions of pounds of investment and jobs' by refusing to engage with the Union Connectivity transport review.

Writing for The Scotsman, the Under-Secretary of State for Scotland has claimed attempts to improve transport were being blocked by Holyrood, and called the move "petty politics".
