Nicola Sturgeon: 'I have less patience for those who treat politics like a game'

The First Minister has warned she has “much less patience” for indulging anyone who puts their own interests ahead of those of Scotland.

Speaking at the SNP's campaign conference and in an apparent dig at former first minister Alex Salmond, Ms Sturgeon said the pandemic had made her reassess her attitude towards a lot of things, including politics.

Douglas Ross to consider withdrawing Tory candidates to boost other unionist parties

Scottish Conservatives could withdraw their own candidates in order to give other unionist parties a boost in the Holyrood elections and fight Alex Salmond’s new pro-independence party, leader Douglas Ross has said.

Mr Ross has called on the leaders of Scottish Labour and the Liberal Democrats, adding they needed to unite to resist Mr Salmond’s attempt to “game” Holyrood’s electoral system.
