View email online | | | | | | | | | Jul 30, 2020 | | | | | | | | Good evening everyone, For some of us, lockdown has presented the chance to take stock of our lives. We have spent more time with our families, face-timed our friends, set up a home office and managed to clear out all those cupboards we have been looking guiltily at for months if not years. We may even have got to know our neighbours better, written a book or set up a new business. In other words, many positives have come out of this time despite the restrictions placed upon us all. But now, as we emerge back into society slowly, we are learning that this has not been the case for everyone. There have been many instances of hardship, undiagnosed illnesses and a huge toll taken on our mental health. So much so that some people have sought refuge in anti-depressants, the usage of which has surged in lockdown. This may have been expected by the experts, but it is still sad that while some have thrived, others have found it one of the most difficult times of their lives. The psychological effects of Covid-19 may be even longer lasting than the physical ones.
