We’ve seen it over the years, including last year with receiver Rashid Shaheed. Who will it be this year? We took our best guess at the 5 hidden gems who have the best shot at making it this season. This Saints Insider's take: Earning a roster spot won’t be easy for the undrafted guys. But I expect the strong-legged Blake Grupe from Notre Dame to at least give veteran kicker Wil Lutz some competition. Speaking of battles Here’s another battle to watch this season: the Saints defense vs. Father Time. The Saints defense has been rock solid over the last few years, but the unit is getting older.
