| Now that OTAs are on the way, we can begin projecting some of the better rookie fits from the 2024 NFL Draft. Erick Galko evaluated two rookie running backs and three wide receivers in his 2024 NFL Draft top 5 fantasy fits article, analyzing the situations they're walking into to gauge just how effective they'll be in Year 1. |
| Dave Richard conducted a #AskFFT Fan mock draft, which involved gathering 12 fans of Fantasy Football Today to participate in a PPR mock draft. There were a few different strategies utilized here, but the biggest surprise here was the quarterback that went first. More on that later. |
| Dan Schneier took the time to sort out the Buffalo Bills wide receiver corps after the signing of Marquez Valdez-Scantling. The Bills lost two primary playmakers in Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis this offseason. It will be interesting to see how productive their newly acquired targets will be throughout the 2024 season. |

| 2024 NFL Draft top 5 fantasy fits |
| Following the NFL Draft, our team perennially attempts to predict which rookies have the shortest path to success. Erick Galko listed two running backs and three wide receivers highlighted reasons they're likely to have immediate success. One of the running backs Erick mentioned was Arizona Cardinals third-round pick Trey Benson . Thanks to Benson's explosiveness and contact balance, Erick believes Benson could go from James Conner's backup to full-time starter by midseason. I happen to agree with this assessment as Benson was my No. 1 running back in the draft. |

| Erick appears to have very lofty expectations for New York Giants No. 1 pick Malik Nabers . The Giants have not had a wide receiver finish with 800 yards in a season since Odell Beckham did it in 2018. Despite the six-year drought, Erick predicts that Nabers has a great chance of being a 75-catch, 1,000-plus yard, eight-plus touchdown receiver as a result of the opportunities he'll have as a rookie. | #AskFFT fan mock draft |
| Dave Richard got 12 Fantasy Football Today fans together to do a mock draft, and what transpired was rather interesting. While Those who watch the show may have been influenced by our FFT team, the participants were given no instructions on how to draft and were encouraged to draft as if they were in their own home league. Following this mock, Dave concluded that the "great or late" tight end strategy is shrinking. He noticed that there was seemingly a sense of urgency to find a tight end after Round 2. By the end of Round 6, seven teams had their TE1, and at the end of Round 9, 13 tight ends were off the board. |

| The quarterback draft order raised eyebrows, with Jalen Hurts surprisingly leading as the first pick, despite our team rating Patrick Mahomes as QB1. Derrick Henry's early selection within the top 20 picks was also somewhat of a surprise. Despite turning 30 years old in January, he was still selected over younger backs like Rachaad White, Isiah Pacheco, and James Cook . | Assessing the Bills wide receiver corps |
| The Buffalo Bills are losing 241 targets from last season with the departure of Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis. Davis and Diggs accounted for 73% of the Bills' total wide receiver targets, and now the Bills all-world quarterback Josh Allen will be throwing to almost an entirely new group of wide receivers in 2024. Dan Schneier writes that the Bills have made a concerted effort to add size to their wide receiver corps this offseason, as they've added three wide receivers who are 6-foot-4, in Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Mack Hollins, and Chase Claypool. |

| While the taller wide receivers are solid additions to fill out the back end of a wide receiver unit, it's wide receivers like Khalil Shakir (6-0) and Curtis Samuel (5-11) who will likely get the bulk of the snaps alongside Keon Coleman (6-3). The Bills selected Keon Coleman with the No. 33 pick in the NFL Draft, who figures to become WR1 in Buffalo sooner rather than later. The Bills may also lean on tight ends Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox to make up for some of the vacated targets in Buffalo, while quarterback Josh Allen continues to build chemistry with his new wide receivers throughout the season. |
