In the attached overview that we created for you, you can see the new set up of the New Alliances in oceanfreight as from April 2018. The Japanese carriers Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K-Line), Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) and Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK) have merged. As from April 1st, they will operate under their new name, Ocean Network Express or ONE. This changes the landscape of carrier alliances. K-line, MOL and NYK were already parts of THE Alliance. As from April 1st, onwards this alliance will consist of only three carriers; Hapag-LLoyd, Yang Ming and ONE. The other major alliances, 2M and Ocean Alliance, will remain unaffected. |
