| Diana Damrau has been called the "leading coloratura soprano in the world." She continues to amaze audiences with her unique voice and arresting stage presence. Damrau was awarded the title Bayerische Kammersängerin in 2007 and named "Best Female Singer" at the 2014 International Opera Awards. She will be joined by harpist Xavier de Maistre in a program that includes works by Debussy, Smetana, Richard Strauss, Reynaldo Hahn, Chausson, Fauré, Duparc and Eva Dall'Acqua. Neighborhood Arts: Afro-Caribbean Music & Dance Celebration with Jorge Arce, Nov. 12
| Join us this Saturday, November 12, for "Jorge Arce & Raiz de Plena y Bomba," a free Neighborhood Arts concert featuring the multi-talented Jorge Arce with special guest dancers from Hernández and Hurley Schools. This family-friendly celebration of Afro-Caribbean music, culture, and dance takes place at Roxbury's Hibernian Hall at 2pm and will be followed by a reception with the artists. Bring your dancing shoes, and be sure to RSVP to reserve your seat in advance! Arce has been holding workshops at the Hernández and Hurley Schools to prepare for this event.
