As part of the campaign, (UHRW) has written an open letter to Prime Minister Boris Johnson telling him that innocent victims of terrorist actions feel ‘let down and abandoned’ by the government and the Stormont executive. The victims’ group and the News Letter say it is time to get the overdue Victims’ Payment Scheme implemented — while not paying terrorists. This is day 31 since the new pension scheme was due to start but because of disputes over who should qualify and pay for the pension, the scheme has been postponed.
