The Alumni Gathering will take place on September 23, 2021. Thank you for all the patience and kindness you’ve shown us while we worked to finalize the necessary details for postponing a conference of this size. While we are aware of how distant 2021 may seem, we feel this amount of time is necessary in order to protect the the health and well-being of all attendees and staff. In our individualistic culture we are far removed from the ancient and interconnected fragility that has revealed itself through crisis like this one across time. Yet even as we physically isolate ourselves in order to protect the vulnerable, we are witness to a growing sense of humanity's interconnected nature and the loving recognition of the dignity of God in all people. We still believe in the power this message has for the present, which is why we are planning to release as much of the content we had prepared for this year as we can through a mix of email, social media posts, and other forms of digital connection — all for free. By emptying our storehouses we hope to initiate a communal journey that will bridge the gap between this moment and the future. Though the virtual nature of this connection may strike some as tenuous, we believe it’s in this fragility where we can find a sense of God's presence and love that sustains us amid our fragile interconnectedness — this is the sacrament of our present moment. NEW PODCAST: ENNEAGRAM MAPMAKERSOur newest podcast Enneagram Mapmakers explores the interior landscapes of the ego through conversations with legacy teachers such as Richard Rohr, Helen Palmer and Russ Hudson. In Race and the Cosmos, Barbara Holmes boldly suggests that theoretical physics and cosmology have the power to break through our stalled and difficult discussions about race. At the intersection of ethics, cosmology, and physics, a new view of human life is emerging—a view not neatly divided along lines of race, ethnicity, class, or sexual orientation. Watch the book trailer for Race and the Cosmos ONEING: THE FUTURE OF CHRISTIANITYHow can we even begin to imagine the future of Christianity without first recognizing how it has managed to sustain itself—for better or worse—for over two thousand years? This inspirational edition of Oneing brings a surprising perspective, challenging readers to engage an unknowable future for a church with a very long history. Included in the edition are articles from Richard Rohr, Diana Butler Bass, Brian McLaren, Naomi Tutu, and others. Forward to a Friend →Forward this email to a friend or family member.
