Could salvation simply be the willingness to remain in loving relationship with all creation? We will explore these questions and more in the 2022 theme for Daily Meditations, Nothing Stands Alone. "Our sense of disconnection is only an illusion. Nothing human can stop the flow of divine love; we cannot undo the eternal pattern even by our worst sin.” In this video, Father Richard introduces the new theme and explains how all belong—just as they are and without exceptions—in the Body of Christ. Learn more about this year's Daily Meditations theme The Daily Meditations are email reflections sent every day of the year. Each week builds on previous topics—but you can join at any time. Listen to a Special Live Advent Episode of Turning to the Mystics Podcast“What if God gave you the gift of your life and it took ninety years to open it? What if the day of your death you get to open the gift and you see what God has given you?” On December 11, hundreds of podcast listeners from around the world joined CAC faculty member James Finley, host of Turning to the Mystics, for a special live recording. Jim shared a mystical teaching on Advent, hosted a Q&R with participants, and invited us into a practice that is relevant not only during this season, but in all seasons. Turning to the Mystics is a podcast for people searching for something more meaningful, intimate, and richly present in the divine gift of their lives. James Finley, clinical psychologist and CAC faculty, offers a modern take on the contemplative practices of Christian mystics like Thomas Merton, Teresa of Avila, John of the Cross, and Guigo II. Leaning into their experiences can become a gateway to hope, healing, and oneness. The Man in the MazeAs we enter the final weeks of 2021, let us walk in solidarity together knowing that we are more one than we are many. Father Richard and a small group of co-founders began the work of the Center for Action and Contemplation in a former barracks next to Holy Family Parish in Albuquerque, NM, in 1987. They hosted teach-ins for local activists and faith leaders – on topics like contemplation, liberation theology, and social action — and released the first issue of Radical Grace, a newsletter where Fr. Richard shared his vision for CAC as a modern-day “school for prophets” focused on raising up prophetic leaders rooted in an abiding awareness of God’s healing presence and action in themselves and the world... Read the rest of this holiday reflection on our website. Returning to the Center is a series of updates and reflections from the Center for Action and Contemplation on our discoveries and growing pains as we do the challenging work of reclaiming our founder’s vision for action and contemplation in a time of global change and contemplative renewal. Explore Fr. Richard’s Model of Meaning in the New ONEINGWhat can we learn when we embrace—rather than suppress—the stories that unfold through us and each other? In the new issue of ONEING, Living School guests, staff and alumni explore the cosmic egg—an inclusive framework for liberation from stories that confine us. Thirty years ago, Richard Rohr first encountered an image of several ovals or “domes” of meaning—and it radically shifted the way he perceives wholeness. Discover an authentic pathway of participation in God’s Great Story with thoughtfully curated essays from the new issue of ONEING, the biannual journal from the CAC. Order ONEING in print or as a downloadable PDF. Established in 2013, ONEING is the biannual journal of the Center for Action and Contemplation.
