New Construction Program

Exciting things are happening! The Workforce Development reimbursement can enhance a career as a clean energy professional. Participants who successfully complete preapproved training and certifications supporting the upcoming New Construction Program can receive up to $4,000.

The reimbursement covers up to $2,000 per person per course upon successful completion, with a maximum reimbursement of $4,000per fiscal year from July 1 through June 30.

You must reside in the State of New Jersey, have a principal place of work in New Jersey, or have another connection to New Jersey to participate.

Boost your drive for an energy efficient future

In addition to fuel and maintenance savings, rebates, tax credits, and other incentives make EVs an attractive choice in the automobile market. Many businesses are choosing to install electric vehicle chargers to meet the needs of this increasing demand. ENERGY STAR^®outlines how property owners can respond to EV charging demand in their online guide for commercial buildings.

The guide outlines four recommendations for EV-ready buildings:

•  Evaluating the need
•  Determining power availability
•  Installing and managing chargers
•  Marketing your EV charging amenities

New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program provides incentives for businesses to invest in energy efficient projects. Incentives are available for multi-unit dwellings or mixed residential locations to support the purchase and installation of EV charging equipment. Local and state government and non-profit entities may be eligible to participate in the Clean Fleet EV Incentive Program. Charge Up New Jersey offers a point-of-sale EV incentive and a home charger rebate. Attractions and overnight lodging establishments may be eligible to receive funding for chargers under the EV Tourism Program. Electric utilities may offer incentives to cover the Make-Ready costs for public, multifamily, and residential charging.
