Falls Prevention and Balance Presentation


FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers’ Twin City Bangor, Clinical Director, Dr. Renee Moran, PT DPT and Benjamin Smith, Clinic Liaison are thrilled to present a Falls Prevention and Balance Seminar at the Durgin Center. Join us on April 26th at 1pm! During the seminar, participants will learn how to identify if they have a balance deficiency, learn how we lose our balance and how fall risks are identified. If interested, participants will be offered an individualized balance screening at no cost from Renee. We ask that you sign up in advance by calling the Durgin Center (207) 941-2865 so we know how many people to expect.

 

Mindful Meditation

Learn how to practice mindfulness in class and in daily life. Each class will have mindful gentle movement, presentation, guided practice, discussion, and question and answer time. Handouts will be available and please bring a journal. $50 for 5-weeks. These sessions are brought to you by grant funding from the Maine Community Foundation. Thank you to Don Hansen from Green Acres, for presenting in March. April's speaker is Griffin Dill, Integrated Pest Management Professional, from UMaine Cooperative Extension discussing "Tick Management, tick identification, tick-borne disease, and testing services."

Office Closure

Eastern Area Agency on Aging and the Durgin Center will be closed April 15th for Patriots' Day and April 25th for a Staff Training.
