September is Hunger Action Month Help spread awareness by wearing orange! Orange is the color used to raise hunger awareness. Stop by the library to make a non-perishable food donation. Check out an orange cookbook. Read a book on food insecurity. Save your harvest by checking out a food dehydrator and canning kit from the library of things. Make a citrus garland on September 26 to hang in your window or on your door. Join us, rain or shine, on September 29, for food, sweet treats, non-alcoholic beverages, lawn activities for all ages, and a community photo via drone at 3:30PM to celebrate Sara and wish her joy and happiness in her next chapter. Please stop by or mail any messages, memories, songs, recipes and books that remind you of her to be added to a remembrance book being collected as a gift. FOL Requests Art Donations For the Friends of the Library’s 1st Falling For Art Exhibit and Sale, October 20-22, 2023 Tired of that Beautiful Painting in your Living Room? Downsizing and Unsure of what to do with your many pieces of Art? The Friends of the Manchester Public Library is excited and gearing up our First Annual Falling for Art Sale and Event at the Library this October. We hope our patrons and supporters will consider being part of this fundraising effort! At this time, we have committed artists and are still accepting local artists who will be submitting their work for purchase. 50% of the purchase price will be given to the Friends of the Manchester Library to support our beautiful library and it’s programming. In addition to this original art, we are looking for artwork that you, as supporters, would like to donate as part of this sale. You will receive 50% of the purchase price.
