Mindfulness Meditation EVERY OTHER THURSDAY AT 11AM-12PM Alida Bryant is a Dharma Leader and meditation instructor under the guidance of Anam Thubten Rinpoche. She has been meditating for over 30 years (still very much a beginner!) and studying and practicing with lineage holders in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. MBTS Reads 2023: First Friday Movies at MBTS FRIDAY, APRIL 7 AT 5:30—7:30PM Movies at the Library have returned! We will be showing a movie in our newly renovated Reference Room on the first Friday of every month at 5:30PM. We will supply the popcorn. Feel free to bring covered, non-alcoholic beverages. The movie this month, is a classic comedy as voted on by our patrons. The final decision will be made at the event so come and cast your final vote! The final 4 showdown is going this week until the screening Friday night. We are thrilled to host author Kate Spencer for this very special Q&A about her incredibly fun and funny debut novel, "In a New York Minute", while also talking about all of the incredible projects she is involved in! Bring your questions as this will be a rapid fire Q&A! About Kate: Kate Spencer is the co-host of the award-winning podcast Forever35 and author of the memoir "The Dead Moms Club." In a New York Minute is her first novel. Join MBTS Public Library Director Sara Collins and Librarian Maddy Willwerth as we chat with cartoonist Harry Bliss about his career, humor, comics and his recent collaboration with Steve Martin in this webinar. Harry Bliss is a cartoonist and cover artist for The New Yorker magazine. His self-titled single panel gag cartoon ‘Bliss’ appears in newspapers nationally and internationally. Bliss has illustrated 26 books for children and most recently published his second New York Times best-selling collaboration with entertainer, Steve Martin: "Number one is walking : my life in the movies and other diversions". Harry Bliss is the founder of the CCS Cornish Fellowship for Graphic Novelists located in Cornish, New Hampshire. Harry Bliss lives in New Hampshire.
