Johnson & Johnson’s one-shot COVID-19 vaccine is 66% effective in preventing moderate to severe illness, company says

Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine protects against COVID-19 but not as strong as others already available, data released Friday from the company shows. Trials in the U.S. and seven other countries showed 66% effectiveness in its vaccine in preventing moderate to severe illness, the company said. It was 85% protective against the most serious symptoms.
