John Ratcliffe, President Trump's pick for Director of National Intelligence, withdraws after he was accused of embellishing resume

Democrats and some Republicans raised questions about whether the Texas congressman exaggerated his work as federal prosecutor of terrorism cases. President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that Dan Coats, a former Indiana senator who has held the job since early 2017, would step down this month.
