Hurricane Delta makes landfall in Louisiana as a Category 2 storm in nearly the same spot where Laura hit six weeks ago

Delta made landfall on the Louisiana coast Friday evening as a 100-mph Category 2 hurricane. Coastal Louisiana has not yet recovered from Hurricane Laura, which caused over $14 billion in damage and killed at least 26 people. Thousands of Laura evacuees remain in hotels around the state.
