Fourteen evacuees from cruise ship quarantined in Japan were allowed to fly to the US after testing positive for coronavirus

The passengers did not show any symptoms of the virus, the State Department and Health and Human Services announced in a joint statement. The two charter flights landed at military bases in California and Texas overnight. Passengers will remain quarantined for 14 days.
