FDA authorizes Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine, the second allowed for use in the US

The Moderna vaccine is expected to be shipped to states this weekend, with the first doses likely to be given Monday. Developed by the Massachusetts-based biotech company with backing from the U.S. government, it adds to America's vaccine arsenal against the coronavirus.
