70% of Americans say US democracy weaker than it was four years ago, USA TODAY/Suffolk University poll finds

A stunning 70% of Americans say the nation's democracy has grown weaker since President Donald Trump took office four years ago, a new USA TODAY/Suffolk University poll published Sunday found. And after the storming of the U.S. Capitol by a pro-Trump mob on Jan. 6, a 56% majority fear further violence on Inauguration Day.
