Dear John, Setting intentions gives us purpose and keeps our mind focused. But there’s another crucial element to creating the experiences we wish to have. It’s immensely helpful to couple an emotion with our intention so that we may embody the way we would feel if we already had what we desire. So acknowledge what’s brought you to where you are and consider how you want to be in the New Year – or rather the sensations evoked by being that way. Can you taste the sweetness of self-compassion, touch your soul’s stillness, see a strong and healthy you? Get clear about what you want and how it feels, then practice feeling your future now.
