We are very excited to announce our new USA stockist Heartwood Tools, who are now carrying our full range of hand planes and bench vices. Run by Leslie Webb and Aaron Fox, they offer expert knowledge in fine woodworking. This means that all of our existing USA customers can now purchase directly from the USA, with cheaper and faster shipping. Most tools are in stock in America ready to be purchased for Christmas via their Website here: https://www.heartwoodtools.com/

One exception are our moulding planes, with certain sizes available via Tom’s Toolbox at Lie Nielsen Tools (https://www.lie-nielsen.com/nodes/4225/toms-toolbox), and other sizes are available directly through us. We will still ship specialty timber tools directly to the US which are available via our website. ⁣

HOLIDAYS & CHRISTMAS ORDERS

We will be on holidays from the 20th December 2019 until the 6th January 2020. Any orders placed over this time will be made and sent on our return. Heading into Christmas is a busy time of year - to ensure you receive your items in time please make sure to order early to avoid disappointment. International orders are best to be ordered by the 6th December to ensure it arrives before Christmas, and Australian orders can be ordered up until approximately the 20th of December express post as long as the item is in stock ( Please note: in-stock items online are not always in stock, and the turn around time for them to be made can be around 2-7 days). Special orders are best to be placed soon as they will need to be made.

MOVING FILLISTER PLANE

Fence Scale

One very unique feature of our moving Fillister plane is the measuring scale for the fence (as seen in the brass on the right hand side). This allows for quick set up and ease of use to benefit the user as it ensures the fence is set parallel to the sole of the plane, which was a problem with old moving Fillisters.

Depthstop and Nicker Blade

Combining the depthstop foot with the nicker blade held underneath it, allows for a very precise cutting action. It is also a very nice compact way to make that part of the plane, and the added benefit is our unique scale to set the depth of the foot, meaning no ruler is required to set up and cut a very precise rebate making it a very efficient tool. ⁣
