If you’re driving in the southern Twin Cities metro area this weekend, you may want to allow some extra time to reach your destination. Massive wildfires that have burned more than 40 square miles of forest in northeast Minnesota are now largely contained, but state officials are warning of increased fire danger in the weeks and months ahead. 🚨 Former state trooper re-enters not guilty plea in fatal crash in Rochester. Former trooper Shane Roper appeared in Olmsted County District Court for a hearing Thursday. He pleaded not guilty to charges of manslaughter and criminal vehicular operation. He had previously entered the same plea. 🎤 MN Shortlist, May 30–June 5: Hitchcock with a live score, an outlaw musical and women muralists. This week’s MN Shortlist highlights a live score performance of Hitchcock’s “The Lodger,” a new musical about Minnesota outlaw Nellie King and a talk on Latin American women muralists. 🏀 Anthony Edwards and the T-wolves again enter the summer focused on the final 2 steps to an NBA title. For all the strides the Minnesota Timberwolves have made since they drafted Anthony Edwards first overall five years ago, a noticeable gap remains between them and an NBA title. |
