Romsey Mill, a charity with a Christian ethos, working with young people and families, particularly with those experiencing disadvantage, welcomes applications for two positions:
LEAD YOUTH DEVELOPMENT WORKER – HAMPTON, PETERBOROUGH
You will pioneer, develop and deliver Youth Work provision in Hampton, a rapidly growing area in the south of Peterborough, supporting young people (aged 10-21) to overcome challenge, live fulfilling lives and inspire change in the world around them. You will develop and coordinate a team of youth workers and volunteers to deliver detached sessions, one-to-one work, young-people-led group activities, open access youth clubs, school based early intervention and transfer support, alternative education work and residential experiences that enable young people to overcome disadvantage, and develop personal, social and spiritual well-being. In particular, the work in Hampton is supported by a local church (Christ the Servant King) and the post-holder will be expected to work alongside and direct a youth development worker jointly employed by CSK and Romsey Mill.
3 year fixed term with probable extension
37.5 hrs p/w
Salary range: £21,962 - £24,174

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT WORKER – HAMPTON, PETERBOROUGH
This is a joint role in partnership with Christ the Servant King (CSK) Peterborough
You will pioneer, engage in, and develop, community based youth activities, alongside the Lead Youth Development Worker, building relationships ‘at risk’ young people (10-21) supporting them to overcome challenges and live fulfilling lives.
You will provide opportunities for young people to explore, deepen and express their faith within CSK church contributing to Sunday service youth content, bible-based groups and discipleship. There is an occupational requirement for the post holder to have an active Christian faith. You will encourage and grow a team of volunteers from the church to support the youth work in church and in the wider community. There is an expectation that the post holder will make CSK their home church.
3 year fixed term with probable extension
37.5 hrs p/w
Salary range: £19,430-£21,268
