A superb event is taking place on Saturday 17th November at Great St Mary’s, Cambridge which will support the work of the Church Urban Fund. The work of CUF is always evolving. In 2017 the Together Network provided support to over 687 social action projects. In the same year the CUF Near Neighbours programme brought more than 92,992 people together from across different religious and ethnic groups and 93% of participants said they understand each other better because of the project. Also in 2017 more than 14,600 primary school pupils learnt to manage money wisely through the Just Finance Foundation LifeSavers education programme. Raise Your Voices is a new campaign for 2018 to help raise awareness and funds to support CUF through music-based events around the country. The event in Cambridge will be a wonderful night of music as choirs of all shapes and sizes raise the roof for an excellent cause. There will be performances from the award winning University of Cambridge Gospel Choir, The Tapestry Singers, Cambridge Philharmonic and nationally much-loved a Cappella group The Kings Men. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start and refreshments will be on sale. Tickets cost £15 plus a booking fee and are available here. | David Thomson | September 21, 2018 at 6:14 am | Categories: Uncategorized | URL: https://wp.me/poSLL-3DO |
