David Wilkinson, well-known “Thought for the Day” broadcaster and author of “When I pray, what does God do?” will be in Ely this week to give an open lecture (no booking needed) on Tuesday 5th April 2016, 7.30pm in the Old Palace, Ely (next to the Cathedral) on the subject “When I pray, what does God do? Scientific and pastoral considerations” drawing on his extensive personal experience as an astrophysicist, theologian and minister. The on Wednesday 6th April from 9.30 – 1.00 in the Cathedral Centre, Ely (opposite the Old Palace) he will lead a seminar for lay and ordained ministers (colleagues from other denominations are welcome), picking up the themes of the lecture and book with plenty of opportunity for discussion and questions, and a practical focus on how our preaching and pastoral care can be enhanced in this area.
