| By KASEY BUBNASH | Staff writer | Good morning and thanks for starting your week with us. Here are some of today's top headlines. House calls: A year after New Orleans Health Department launched Family Connects, a program that provides in-home visits to new moms and babies, over 300 visits have been made to Orleans Parish moms. The program is part of the city’s attempt to address high rates of infant and maternal mortality and morbidity, and the results so far are promising. Emily Woodruff has the details. Cornerstone: Just months after Jefferson Parish passed new rules for industrial zoning, its largest chemical company is bypassing those regulations with a rezoning request it first filed last year. But, as Lara Nicholson reports, Cornerstone recently requested a deferral to revise its plan following a backlash from nearby residents. Rouselle's last fight: In the weeks and days before Bill Rouselle's death at 77 in July, he was still making phone calls, sending out agendas and moderating meetings for one last cause: The New Orleans Citizen Committee, a multi-generational group of civic leaders that convened to fight what he viewed as Gov. Jeff Landry's threat to New Orleans. James Finn has the story of the venerated political consultant's final effort. Check back for more news, entertainment and sports from The Times-Picayune here.
