Jumping in: The number of candidates planning to run for mayor in New Orleans grew by one over the weekend. A state senator who earlier this year had said he was out, reversed course and says he’s now in, James Finn reports. Sign of the times: When the Tujague’s sign that hung over the old restaurant building on Decatur Street was removed recently, people noticed. Business writer Stephanie Riegel tells us where the sign is headed now. Tomato, tomahto: Authorities captured another escaped prisoner late Friday, and they now have nine of the 10 escapees back in custody. A judge over the weekend ordered Antoine Massey held without bond following an exchange between the attorneys on whether Massey is a flight risk, Missy Wilkinson reports. Meanwhile, one of the escapees from the New Orleans jail still remains at large. Fontainebleau hotel: Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser says building a hotel and conference center at Mandeville’s Fontainebleau State Park could drive enough revenue to help the entire state park network.
