Toward the end of the year, the eyes of the world turned to Paris, as the Sustainable Development Goals were established, a landmark event with significant, empowering implications for our work.

Meet our Ethiopian Colleague

Last week the Aqua for All team had the honor of meeting our Ethiopian colleague Bekele Damte Fufa. For about a year now, Bekele has been working independently as a representative of the Self Supply Acceleration Program in Ethiopia.

New 6m € program for Smart Water for Agriculture in Kenya

Aqua for All is engaged in another new program in Kenya. This program will increase water productivity, income and food security by developing climate-smart and market-led ‘smart water’ solutions. This six million euro four-year program is funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kenya.


Construction of the first NEXUS Centers has started!
In part thanks to the incubator program of Aqua For All and other donors, WECONNEX AG and Water Tech Trading BV have managed to finance 7 NEXUS Centers in Nepal of which 3 are in full construction and should be up and running by the end of June.	The focus of our activities are in Chitwan, so that we can cover the whole district providing clean drinking water and other services provided by the various NEXUS Centers.

Save the Date

A Day of Learning; Exchange about PPPs - Save the Date
On Thursday 15 September 2016 the PPPLab will host a day on public private partnerships for food and water related development activities. It will be a day of active sharing of experiences and questions around the role, effectiveness, organisation and other purposes of PPPs as a means to achieve combined business and social goals. Successful Pre-Inception Meeting

On 23 and 24 June Mozambique hosted the pre-inception meeting of the Football for Water program Phase II (2017-2019). The main topics were: The Theory of Change, Governance, Project Monitoring & Evaluation, Learning Strategy and The Way Forward.

Farewell Anita Oosterlee & Tabitha Gerrets

This month we said goodbye to two of our wonderful co-workers, Anita Oosterlee and Tabitha Gerrets, with whom much has been accomplished over the years. Thank you both for everything you’ve given to Aqua for All. We wish you both the very best in the future.

On June 27th the Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance (The Lab) announced endorsement for four new investment vehicles that are ready to pilot in developing countries. This announcement is in partnership with The Lab members, including the Danish, Dutch, German, United Kingdom and United States governments, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Willis Group, development finance institutions, foundations, and other public and private investors.
