More details on trooper's deathLouisiana State Police gave new information Monday on the death of Master Trooper Adam Gaudet, who they say was ambushed in his squad car during a series of deadly shootings on Saturday. Officials confirmed that Gaudet's death wasn't discovered until some 15 hours after he was shot. They said that's because the agency went on radio silence to help with the hunt for the man accused of killing him and another person. That suspect, who's also accused of wounding three other people, was released from the hospital Monday — and police took him to jail with Gaudet's handcuffs.
