Student reporter ousted

LSU Faculty Senate leadership flouted proper protocol by ousting a student reporter for The Reveille, the campus newspaper, before heading into a closed-door meeting. An attorney called the move illegal. We ran a Reveille story about what went down, which you can read here. 

New COVID rules at Southern

Students and staffers who don't want to submit proof of coronavirus vaccination to the Southern University System by next semester will have to request exemption from the new rules, or file a formal letter of dissent. Ellyn Couvillion explains the new rules in this piece.

Black Friday shopping

As COVID cases drop, retailers have eased capacity limits and mask rules.
