New Cloud Seeding Tech Takes Flight

USDA scientists are testing new cloud seeding technology and at least 11 states are already seeding clouds or studying the possibility in the western U.S. The goal is to increase rainfall, add to reservoir storage or pile inches of snowpack into the mountains for spring runoff and recharge. For many ag operations and cities that stored water is vital to sustaining long-term viability.
