For the first time, Europort presents an exclusive Circular Route in collaboration with Maritime Sisters and BlueCity. This special guided route connects international visitors with 10–20 pioneering exhibitors showcasing how smart material use and circular business models are shaping a more resilient maritime sector.

The Circular Route aims to connect innovators with (launching) customers, inspire policymakers, and show how circular solutions lead to cost savings, competitive edge and strategic autonomy.

Made possible by the National Shipbuilding Office (NL) and the Municipality of Rotterdam, and endorsed by The Dutch Maritime Network and NMT-IRO.

Seminar: Wind Assisted Shipping – 'The Blue Glue'

Tuesday 4 November | 13:00 – 17:00 | Rotterdam Ahoy Convention Centre, Dock 11

Wind Assisted Propulsion Systems (WAPS) are gaining momentum as one of the few scalable solutions for decarbonising shipping. Still, many decision-makers remain cautious due to limited data and integration challenges.

Winds4Change aims to accelerate wind propulsion in the Netherlands — through technological innovations like rotor sails, wing sails, and suction sails, but also by highlighting market potential and policy support. In countries like France, wind propulsion is already being taken seriously at legislative level.

This seminar acts as the 'blue glue’ between innovation and growth — uniting industry stakeholders from the Netherlands and abroad to drive change forward.

Human Capital: Tackling the Industry’s People Challenge

Diversity, inclusion and crew wellbeing will be major topics at this year’s Europort. The recent IMO–WISTA Women in Maritime Survey 2024 highlights that gender inequality remains a major concern — especially amid ongoing skills shortages.
