COMPLYING WITH MAINE RULES ON OUT-OF-STATE TRAVEL

As the summer season continues and more folks are considering vacation trips, we want to let you know how we are complying with the Governor's order related to out-of-state travelers coming to, or returning to, Maine.

Governor Mills has ordered that anyone who comes to Maine from a state other than New Hampshire or Vermont, must self-quarantine for 14 days to help slow the spread of the Coronavirus, or certify that they have recently tested negative for COVID-19.

What does this mean for you, our patient?

If you have recently come back to Maine from a state other than New Hampshire or Vermont:

We ask that you wait 14 days before coming into our office for an appointment, or
Bring a copy of your recent negative COVID-19 test with you to your visit.

SELF SCREENING:

We are asking all NECS patients to answer these questions before they come in for an office visit.

In the last 14 days:

Have you been COVID-19 nasal swabbed/tested for a surgical procedure?
Have you been nasal swabbed/tested for symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 14 days?
Have you been exposed to someone with Coronavirus?
Have you had/do you have a fever or shaking chills?
Have you had/do you have a new cough?
Have you had/do you have shortness or breath or difficulty breathing?
Have you had a loss of taste or sense of smell?
Have you traveled outside of the country, Maine, New Hampshire or Vermont?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, please call our office at 207-303-3300 before coming in for your visit. We can help determine the right course of action for you, and limit the spread of infection.
