Last Board Meeting of the year NDF's Board of Directors gathered in Helsinki for their final meeting of the year in early December, wrapping up a successful 2024 and envisioning what our 2025 will look like â exciting activities are on the horizon! A heartfelt thank you to our Board for the fantastic collaboration this year. In 2024, we approved EUR 70 million to new projects As we close the chapter of 2024, NDF’s project portfolio now includes 41 active projects, of which the NDF Board has approved seven in the past year. “This year, we reached a total volume of EUR 70 million in approved projects, which is 80% higher than the year before,” says Malena Rosman, NDF’s Director of Portfolio Origination & Management, who reflects on a year of progress. |
Climate finance took center stage at COP29 The UN Climate Change Conference in Baku, Azerbaijan, took place in mid-November. Developed countries promised to deliver 300 billion dollars a year to vulnerable countries by 2035 to fight climate change, three times higher than the current contribution of 100 billion dollars a year. NDF joined the conference to share knowledge on financing climate adaptation and mitigation projects. We arranged and participated in several events and discussions, showcasing examples of our impact through catalytic financing. Did you miss our events?
