Hi John, One of Australia's well-known network experts says the comments made by NBN Co chief executive Bill Morrow on the ABC's Four Corners NBN programme on Monday night indicate that he has discovered the company is in trouble as it is unlikely to make any money as per its business plan.
The managing director of the small ISP My Republic claims the average revenue per user earned by the NBN Co will continue to be low because bigger telcos like Telstra, Optus, TPG and Vocus push slow-speed connections to their customers in order to avoid popularising the NBN. British researchers at University College London claim to have developed new hardware that provides consistent high-speed broadband connectivity, enabling data rates of more than 10,000Mbps. Embattled security firm Kaspersky Lab has announced what it calls a Global Transparency Initiative under which it will allow source code reviewers by independent third parties. Perth-headquartered technology solutions firm Dreamscape Networks, the Crazy Domains parent company, is acquiring hosting and domain company Enetica Group for $4.5 million.
