By Chad Calder | Staff writer Formula none: The nationwide baby formula shortage is even more severe in Louisiana, as parents search for crucial nutrition for their infants on often bare store shelves. Health care reporter Emily Woodruff has a look at how the crisis has hit home for many in New Orleans, and whether there is any hope for relief in the coming weeks. The doctors are out: The Louisiana legislature's efforts to outlaw abortion — most recently a defeated bill that would have allowed women and doctors to be criminally charged with murder — has cost New Orleans a major convention. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists has canceled its April 2023 conference, saying it will go instead "to a state whose legislative climate is consistent with our values."
