How to choose the right spokesperson for your message

Choosing the right spokesperson is crucial for effective communication, writes Casey Weldon. While CEOs should speak during major crises to demonstrate leadership, a spokesperson might be better for legal matters to protect the CEO. Subject-matter experts can convey technical details, while third-party validators can enhance credibility and reach. "Not only are you adding ... extra credibility, but you're also reaching audiences you might not have accessed on your own," Jaclyn Rothenberg of Avoq says.
