Plus a tasty gnocchi and Greek salad recipe
| For a few years now, I've been reporting on the lengthy wait times to see a paediatrician or paediatric psychiatrist. Children with autism, ADHD and other neurodiverse conditions are often waiting up to two years to see a specialist. The demand is now so high, some private doctors have closed their books. And this is putting extra pressure on schools trying to manage students who need assistance. So why has there been an increase in the diagnosis of these conditions? What should schools be doing to assist these children and what more do parents need to know? An expert panel headed by Professor Andrew Whitehouse from the Telethon Kids Institute and UWA will discuss these issues at my next Mornings Spotlight Forum on Wednesday March 6 from 10 - 11am at ABC studios in East Perth. I'd love you to be part of our studio audience and you can even ask a question of our panel. | | |
