June’s mystery character comes courtesy of two Thread readers. You know who you are.
You can find medieval legends in Europe that clearly inspired our author to create this remarkable character hundreds of years later. And it is said that the author’s close friendship with a poet of the time sparked our writer’s imagination.
A glimpse of this character on a dark and stormy night would be enough to scare the daylights out of someone, especially because the character appears gigantic and “misshapen.”
The appearance of this character is notable more for what they do not possess than for what they do and suggests a constant and fruitless search for retribution.
Do you know who this character is? And the author who created the character?

I am on vacation overseas and cannot respond to emails. The answer will appear in next Friday's newsletter.
