| | There are a lot of things couples swear they’ll never do when they have a kid — and then that kid comes, and everything changes. One common example is co-sleeping. The American Academy of Pediatrics takes a firm stance against bed-sharing to prevent SIDS. Yet many parents end up bringing their babies into their beds at some point, despite telling themselves they wouldn’t do it. Because it’s not condoned by the AAP, parents aren’t honest with their pediatricians about it, and therefore miss out on important information about how to make it safer.
