Dec. 31, 2019 Quiet start to the new year. After all those eventful days in terms of winter weather, the rest of this week will be pretty mild. A chance of flurries New Year’s Day afternoon in the Twin Cities with highs in the lower 30s. Other parts of Minnesota will see highs between the mid-20s to lower 30s tomorrow. Happy New Year! The weekend storm’s over but snow emergencies are still in effect. The cities of St. Paul and Minneapolis declared snow emergencies as the powerful winter storm dumped several inches of snow over the weekend and through yesterday.
