Yes, of course we have the results from Michigan's most-watched race from last night — the Republican nomination for governor. But that's far from the only results we have for you. We also watched your local races. There were primaries for local clerks, commission members, state representatives, state senate and more. We watched it all. Here are links for local results in and around Grand Rapids, Ann Arbor, Flint, Saginaw, Kalamazoo, Jackson, Bay City and Muskegon.
And we will be right with you until and through the November election to bring you the results of those races, from governor all the way down the ballot.

Will student loans be forgiven? A $10K plan could erase debt for thousands of Michiganders. |
A lengthy pause:Student loan payments and interest have been suspended for federal student loans since March 2020. This pause has been extended seven times — by both presidents Donald Trump and Joe Biden. Payments are expected to restart by Sept. 1. But will the loans be forgiven? Millions of borrowers are anxiously waiting to see if there is another extension, or if broader action is taken to tackle the $1.7 trillion student debt load. Biden is considering using executive action to forgive $10,000 per borrower. In related news:Last month, a Republican lawmaker called for the repeal of the federal student loan program. |
