Grocery delivery makes smaller carbon footprint than shopping yourself, study shows |
Scientists at the University of Michigan recently researched carbon footprints associated with how shoppers receive essential grocery items and found the old way of grocery shopping produced the most greenhouse gas emissions. Most eco-friendly:Robotic delivery options provided the greatest reductions in carbon emissions, followed by pick-up orders at stores with a micro-fulfillment center, and switching to an electric vehicle.

A tragic incident: Kory Ernster, 22, and Emily MacDonald, 19, had been dating for five years before they drowned at South Haven’s South Beach the afternoon of Monday, Aug. 8.
