On the winning side, Michigan football beat Ohio State 30-24 on Saturday, reclaiming its No. 2 spot in the rankings. Here are some takeaways, our favorite photos and what was overheard outside the locker room. Plus, the latest update from injured Zak Zinter.

Michigan voters may reject Biden over Israel-Hamas war

The latest:As the civilian death toll in Palestine rises, calls for a cease-fire have been prompted and a four-day pause in fighting began last week. Calls for a lasting cease-fire have, so far, been rejected.

As recently as Nov. 18, Biden himself panned the idea in a Washington Post editorial, saying a cease-fire would only give Hamas “time they exploit to rebuild their stockpile of rockets, reposition fighters and restart the killing by attacking innocents again.” On Nov. 22, twenty-six Michigan lawmakers called on Biden to “advance a lasting cease-fire” in Gaza.

As the 2024 election cycle inches closer, some Michigan Democrats say they'll forego voting for Biden's reelection campaign due to his handling of the ongoing Israel-Hamas war.
