According to the Department of Transportation’s schedule for Friday, Oct. 27, through Sunday, Oct. 29, there are 65 road, lane and ramp closures on tap for the weekend. That includes work on major highways like I-75, I-94 and U.S. 127.

Morning Briefing will take a quick break Monday, we'll be back in your inbox on Tuesday.

You’re not imagining things. Halloween weather is usually nasty in Michigan.

Looking at the numbers: If you felt crazy yesterday when I mentioned the nasty forecast for Tuesday, you're not. Our meteorologist Mark Torregrossa dove into the data and found more often than not, we have some precipitation on Oct. 31.

If you like percentages, we’ve had wet weather on Halloween between 60 percent of the time in some cities and 80 percent of the time in other cities.
