15.6% of U.S. adults are COVID-19 vaccine hesitant. How does Michigan stack up? Michigan's goal is to get 70% of adults vaccinated against COVID-19. But some Michiganders are hesitant to get the vaccine. To be precise, 15.2% of Michigan adults admit to vaccine hesitancy, putting the state just below the national percentage. The reasons adults list for being hesitant about getting vaccinated against the coronavirus are varied. Some people are concerned about side effects while a chunk of adults simply say they don't think they need the vaccine.
