Some of our readers requested more details about Tuesday’s event, so we reached out to our teams for additional information about this tragic event and our response. On Tuesday, ZAKA Tel-Aviv’s hotline received a report of a stabbing attack on Gruzenberg Street in Tel Aviv. Reinforced teams, including volunteers from the Motorcycle Unit, were immediately dispatched to the scene. Ariel Yazdi, one of our volunteers, shared: “The moment we received the report, we rushed to the site. Medical teams were attending to several victims, and thankfully, the terrorist was neutralized before he could carry out his full plan. Along with other volunteers, we assisted forensic teams at the scene as needed.” |
| ZAKA Tel-Aviv Field Commander Yechiel Goldman, who oversaw the response, added: “Our teams responded quickly and effectively. The terrorist was stopped at the very start of his planned attack, which prevented further harm. ZAKA volunteers supported forensic teams to ensure a thorough and efficient operation. The ZAKA ambulance also transported the terrorist’s body for further examination at the institute.” This incident is yet another reminder of the constant threats Israel faces and the critical role ZAKA Tel-Aviv plays in responding to emergencies. Whether it’s assisting victims, supporting forensic teams, or ensuring dignity for the deceased, our work is vital. |
