The US is sending an advanced missile defense system and associated troops to Israel to help shield its ally from attacks by Iran, the Pentagon said. Over the weekend, a Hezbollah drone strike killed four soldiers at a northern Israeli base, while at least 20 people died in an Israeli airstrike on a Gaza school, the Associated Press reported. Election latest: Kamala Harris said Donald Trump may be “too weak and unstable to lead,” needling him for keeping his medical records private after releasing her own. She and her VP pick Tim Walz will spend the coming week criss-crossing Blue Wall swing states. |

A boost for Bitcoin. It climbed above an average that filters out random peaks and troughs partly because prediction markets signaled prospects of a victory by Trump. The launch system still faces many daunting development challenges before it’s able to head to the moon for NASA, let alone anchor Elon Musk’s grander dream of carrying humans to Mars. A California state commission voted against approving more SpaceX launches from the Vandenberg Space Force Base, northwest of Los Angeles, in the latest sign of discontent with Musk’s rocket company. |

Be very careful when personalizing your $500,000 Ferrari, Chris Bryant writes. Nearly new sports cars are piling up in the used market, in part thanks to poor customization choices, but that’s not the only problem. |
