Good morning, everybody. In a Sunday evening news conference in which LSU football coach Ed Orgeron and the school announced they will part ways after this season, Orgeron expressed hope that the focus going forward would be on Saturday's matchup with Ole Miss. It might be that way in a day or two, but Monday brought a flurry of activity and storylines that weren't totally unexpected given the circumstances. On "Tell the Truth Monday," Orgeron, as our Wilson Alexander reports, was, for all intents and purposes, an interim coach again — just as he was five years ago before he was named full-time coach of the Tigers. When asked during his weekly news conference about motivating the players for the rest of the season, Orgeron said he had already been there and done that as an interim coach. While on the subject, Advocate columnist Scott Rabalais takes a look at LSU athletic director Scott Woodward and his task going forward in the next six weeks or so. It's the Baton Rouge-born and LSU-educated Woodward who'll make one of the biggest decisions that will likely impact the Tigers program for the next 10 or 15 years when he hires its next football coach. In hard Monday news, Rivals first reported that sophomore wide receiver Koy Moore will enter the NCAA transfer portal. A former four-star recruit from Archbishop Rummel, Moore has five receptions for 71 yards. Even though he's played in six games, Moore hasn't had a catch since a Week 3 game against Central Michigan. Also, LSU lost a commitment for the 2022 recruiting class when four-star wide receiver Aaron Anderson of New Orleans Edna Karr announced he would re-open his recruitment because of Orgeron's departure. In other football news, running back Tyrion Davis-Price earned the SEC's offensive player of the week honor (he actually shared it with Ole Miss QB Matt Corral) for his record-breaking performance against Florida. Also, our Sheldon Mickles has his weekly early scouting report on the Tigers' next opponent — a feature that was pushed back a day by all the goings-on Sunday — and Will Wade's men's basketball team received votes in the AP preseason basketball poll that was released Monday.
